Diane was born and raised in Fuquay-Varina. Before founding The Beauty School, she built a successful real estate business along with several other entrepreneurial ventures — but The Beauty School has become her greatest achievement. Diane strives for excellence in everything she does, ensuring her students and school are always in the best possible hands.

Mary is a licensed esthetician, owner of The Esthetic Studio NC, and Director at The Beauty School, where she mentors students building careers in beauty. Originally licensed in cosmetology in 2008, she returned to the industry in 2026 after a decade-plus career in sales. Her mission: helping clients and students alike feel confident, supported, and empowered.

McKie graduated from Carolina Cosmetology in 2003, completed esthetics school at Aveda in 2009, and earned her 800-hour instructor license from Durham Beauty Academy in 2011. As Director of Education, she brings creativity and motivation to her teaching, training the next generation of cosmetologists through what she calls “preaching teaching.”

Bass is a Durham native who graduated from Durham Beauty Academy in 2012. She is passionate about teaching future cosmetologists, sharing her love for the craft and helping students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their careers.

Connie graduated from Sampson Community College’s Cosmetology program in December 2003. She is passionate about teaching future cosmetologists, equipping them with skills they’ll carry throughout their careers and leaving a lasting, positive impact on each student she trains.

Ella is a graduate of The Beauty School of Fuquay-Varina, completing her program in December 2025. Through her experience marketing for clientele at a local salon, she discovered a passion for content creation. She now shares this expertise with The Beauty School, promoting our buisness.
